Health and Wellbeing Coaching

Our Health Coaches are called Viv and Tais. They have worked in Buckinghamshire doing Health Coaching for several years. They both worked in different NHS healthcare and wellness roles before that. They have a wealth of experience in the area of healthy living, and in helping people to build confidence and healthy habits. They are very happy to use these skills to help you look after yourself the best you can.

How can a Health and Wellbeing Coach help you?

  • Health and Wellbeing Coaches help you to identify your own health priorities and goals, and to plan how to look after your health and wellbeing to meet those priorities.
  • We ask what is important to you about your health, how things are now, and how you would like them to be instead.
  • We help you set healthy lifestyle goals, then make straightforward plans to take small, achievable steps to reach those goals
  • The key requirement is you are willing to make some changes, to take charge of how you look after yourself.
  • Our Health Coaches help you to work out how to follow a healthier lifestyle, in the areas of:
healthy eating/drinking, weight management, activity and exercise, balance and strength, sleep, stress, self-care, mental wellbeing.
  • They also help you to build the confidence and motivation to look after your health.
  • Our Health Coaches do not do stopping smoking programmes and they do not treat addiction. In Buckinghamshire this is done by Be Healthy Bucks (smoking) and One Recovery Bucks (addiction).
  • Our Health Coaches can see you face to face or by telephone, for up to 6 sessions. You can be referred to a Health Coach by reception, a doctor or nurse, or any other member of your GP practice.
